Call for Workshops

Interested researchers and practioners are invited to submit workshop proposals. Proposals are to be documented in the scope of two pages. Content of the description should be: (1) organizer(s), (2) motivation/relevance of the topic, (3) form of execution and contributions (see below) and (4) added value for the conference. Proposals are due by 10th of December 2018 by e-mail to Opens window for sending emailmatthias.lederer@ism.de.

For the actual execution of the workshops three basic forms are recommended:

  1. Paper-based workshops: Full and short papers can be submitted for a specific topic within a workshop. Accepted contributions are primarily presented.
  2. Discussion-based workshops: Predetermined experts discuss a topic. Congress participants can actively participate.
  3. Demo-based workshops: The focus is on existing software/hardware demonstrations, business cases or prototypes. It may be realized with the presentation of existing solutions, the comparison of solutions or the definition of action points for the future.

The organizer(s) of an accepted workshop act as chair and coordinate their activities with the conference organizers. This includes recruiting their program committee, soliciting contributions, and, if necessary, recruiting their program committee and the submission and review process as well as running the workshop at the conference.

Full Papers accepted for workshop type 1 can qualify for publication in the ACM Digital Library, short paper contributions will be published online at CEUR-WS.org. Submissions are exptected to be in ACM format with a length of 10-15 pages (long paper) and 4-6 pages (short paper). ACM format templates are available in the Call for Papers.

All accepted contributions (full and short papers, see Call for Papers) will be published in the print proceedings of the conference.
